I was fortunate to attend the Fog Art & Design Fair at the Ft. Mason Pavilion in San Francisco this past weekend. It was an inspiring show filled with many tapestries, paintings, & awesome furniture. A personal favorite was the 21POP: Cotton installation, created by Stanlee R. Gatti and dedicated to "craft by hand," in this case, cotton from seed to garment. Bushels of cotton and looms in action created a magical landscape. Voices of Industry was weaving cotton yardage and explaining her process from fiber to finish. Totally inspiring.
